3D MODELLING & VISUALISATION

Using Maya, a real world space was accurately modelled in 3D, including UV mapping, texturing and lighting.

Professional renders (using Arnold) were created, alongside a virtual reality visualisation.

Students are tasked to select a room from their [home or business] and recreate fully and exactly by showing 2D photographs and then modelling the scene in 3D (using Maya). The scene must be displayed both in natural daytime light and artificial night time lighting. Students must get approval from their tutor that the scene selected is of sufficient complexity.
 
For the second part of the assessment, students are tasked to design and develop a mixed reality approach using a 2D still rendered version of the scene lit using day and night lighting and either a virtual reality, augmented reality or 3D printed visualisation.

This piece of assessment received 93% for Part One and 88% for Part Two.
91% was awarded for the subject overall (High Distinction).
